Lead software engineer

What’s the role?

We are looking for a sharp, forward-thinking Lead Software Engineer to join our team. In this position, you'll be designing new platform improvements and helping clients with existing solutions while setting the standard for health IT interoperability.

TAFi is looking for a passionate technology expert to own development responsibilities across all areas of TAFi’s product development. The primary focus of this role will be detailed software design, programming code with unit tests to implement the design, and enterprise architecture integration. Candidates will be responsible for the analysis of business, engineering, and scientific problems, as well as the documentation and development of well-defined methods, procedures, and programs in the delivery of practical systems solutions. Candidates with experience developing for the healthcare industry would be preferred. TAFi is building out a world-class, enterprise-level B2B technology, and we’re excited to add a teammate who is ready to take the challenge head-on. The Lead Software Engineer will report to the CTO, manage direct reports, and collaborate with VP Product/Customer Success to allocate resources to deliver products to clients and schedule code releases that align product engineering and design with business and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate should also be excited to represent our team everywhere and evangelize the TAFi product from industry conferences to the board room.

About you:

  • 3+ years Java, C, C++ experience

  • An understanding of node.JS or other backend JS language

  • 3+ years experience with Database architecture (SQL and NoSQL data models - Cassandra, Spark, ElasticSearch)

  • Working familiarity with scripting languages (ie - Python)

  • Working familiarity with statistical languages (ie - R)

Backend (Java) Developer

What’s the role?

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing and building large-scale databases

  • Creating reusable code and libraries for future use

    About you:

  • 5+ years of programming and database experience with a strong knowledge of Java and moderate experience with Spring (Scala too!)

  • Experience leading small-to-mid size teams, participating in scoping and managing projects until they ship

  • Familiarity with developing using database technologies like Apache Cassandra, mySQL, noSQL, Spark, HDFS, Meso, and Hadoop

  • 5+ years of Healthcare IT industry knowledge is required (HIPAA, HITECH, FHIR, HL7, C-CDA, etc.)

Account Development Manager

We are looking for a sharp, forward-thinking Account Development Manager to join our team. In this position, you'll be a key player in TAFi’s growth by owning the pipeline development for our technical sales team.

As an Account Development Manager at TAFi, you’ll be working with our executive and business development teams to test and prove out the sales methodologies and prospecting tools that will become TAFi’s sales playbook. The Account Development Manager will leverage their prior sales experience to work closely with our technical team to develop, maintain, and close a strong sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will also act as a mentor for existing and new team members, add value to the business, and grow at an accelerated level. The Account Development Manager will report to the COO and partner with our Business Development Team. The ideal candidate should also be excited to represent our team everywhere and evangelize the TAFi product from industry conferences to the board room.

About you:

  • 2-3 years of proven Business Development/Sales success with expertise in cold calling/prospecting

  • Experience in dealing directly with clients – ideally B2B/SaaS clients – who’ve had responsibility for selling and pitching products

  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM systems required

  • Desire to grow career in a rapidly growing company

  • Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain an aggressive call volume every day with the intent to qualify key leads and create/maintain pipeline

  • Primary responsibility is prospecting into targeted lists by creating strategic relationships to develop new sales opportunities from cold or inactive accounts

Senior Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a sharp, forward-thinking Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. In this position, you'll be designing new platform improvements and helping clients with existing solutions while setting the standard for health IT interoperability.

  • Building and designing our client-facing user dashboards

  • Making our interoperability platform look really, really, ridiculously good-looking (what is this, a platform for ants?!)

  • Collaborating with our backend engineers and DevOps team to deliver a delightful, seamless client experience

About you:

Senior Software Architect

We are looking for a sharp, forward-thinking Senior Software Architect to join our team. In this position, you'll be building and testing future-forward data models and setting the standard for health IT interoperability. Working with our technical team leads, you’ll influence everything from design choices to technical standards, such as platforms and coding standards. You must be able to conduct research, gather information, interpret data, and then create a solution. Documentation is an important part of your role and the documents you create will serve as references for new employees, customers, and for future maintenance on the system. You must be able to communicate well through writing, flowcharts, and diagrams.
