TAFi CEO to Participate in HLTH Startup Pitch
Mel (Malka) Cohen is the CEO and co-founder of TAFi, a clinical data integration platform that seamlessly blends data streams from multiple clinical and non-clinical sources and connects them to the EMR, providing a holistic and unified view of patients. Founded in 2016, the company unlocks and unifies patient data, providing clinicians with visibility into the information they need in order to make better care decisions. TAFi works with healthcare organizations, software vendors and payers, offering a scalable and secure technology that aggregates, normalizes and stores the data in a centralized layer on which vendors can run analytics or other clinical support tools. The company’s platform is quick to deploy and integrate with new applications without the need for expensive services or IT staff involvement, and enables application developers and medical device manufacturers to design products around a single API. As a result of implementing TAFi, organizations can realize reduced operational costs and improved outcomes.
HLTH is a leading event focused on the innovation in healthcare. The event brings together startups, investors, payers, providers, employers, pharma services and others to help carry out its mission of driving reductions in healthcare costs while increasing healthcare quality.
During the event, Mel Cohen will participate in the HLTH Startup Pitch, which will feature 15 early-stage companies, each pitching their own technologies, products and business solutions to a panel of judges from the investment community, competing for prizes totaling $50,000. Each participating company will have three minutes for their pitch, and an additional three minutes for Q&A with the judges. Upon completion, two winners will be selected – one through audience voting, and one by the panel of judges.
During her pitch, Mel will provide an overview of TAFi and the company’s clinical data integration platform that was specifically designed for tomorrow’s healthcare industry. In the presentation, she will detail how the company’s centralized layer is unique in that it allows vendors to run analytics and other clinical decision support tools, all powered by TAFi’s patient-centric data model that provides a true longitudinal view.
In addition to TAFi’s participation in the HLTH Startup Pitch, the company will also be located in startup booth #51 throughout the event.
HLTH will be held at the ARIA Resort and Casino, located at 3730 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89158.
HLTH takes place on Sunday, May 6 - Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Mel’s pitch is part of Startup Pitch Two, being held on Tuesday, May 8, between 4:10 – 4:50 pm.
